ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.--The Hood College men's soccer team dropped
a tough 1-0 decision to St. Mary's College of Maryland Monday
afternoon in a Capital Athletic Conference contest.
Hood falls to 5-6-0 overall and 1-4-0 in the CAC, while the
Seahawks improve to 3-6-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the league.
St. Mary's outshot the Blazers 22-7 and netted the lone goal of
the game late in the second half when Chad Henry converted a pass
from Joe McKenna at 81:49.
Freshman goalie Shawn Fernholz turned away eight shots for Hood.
The Blazers return to action Saturday, Oct. 7, hosting CAC foe
Catholic University at 1 p.m. at Thomas Athletic Field.
