ARLINGTON, Va.--The Hood College women's basketball lost to Marymount University, 82-29, in the first round of the Marymount University Holiday Classic Friday evening at the Verizon Sports Arena.

The Blazers drop to 0-9 on the season while Marymount improves to 7-5.

Freshman Jennifer Willison tallied a team-high 15 points, including a perfect 7-for-7 from the foul line, and grabbed a game-high seven rebounds. Senior Dana Shook chipped in seven points and four assists while classmate Tamara Maggard connected on her first three-pointer of the year which accounted for her three points.

Hood will face Montclair State University in the consolation contest at 12 p.m. Saturday.
