SALISBURY, Md.--The Salisbury University Sea Gulls (4-13, 2-6
CAC) closed the first half with a 23-7 run and never trailed in the
second half, handing the Hood College men's basketball team (12-5,
6-2 CAC) its second league loss of the season, 81-67, Wednesday
evening.
The Sea Gulls put the skids on Hood's four-game winning streak
and earned their second straight Capital Athletic Conference
triumph after dropping their first six in a row. The setback,
Hood's first on the road this season, moves the Blazers into a
three-way tie for first place in the CAC standings with York (Pa.)
and Mary Washington.
Nick Scott, Ryan Junghans and Tim Abercrombie all tallied 11
points in the loss, while Tyler Snoots came off the bench and
connected on 4-of-4 from the floor for nine points, matching his
career-high.
The Blazers return home Saturday to host York (Pa.) in a battle
for first place at 4 p.m. at Gov. Thomas Johnson High School.
