FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College men's soccer team (4-10, 1-5
CAC) dropped a 6-0 decision to the visiting Salisbury University
Sea Gulls (11-3-2, 4-2 CAC) Saturday afternoon in a Capital
Athletic Conference matchup at Thomas Athletic Field.
The Sea Gulls outshot the Blazers 46-2, which included 21 shots
on goal. Shawn Fernholz made a season-high 15 saves in the net
while Corey DeMaster and James Larrimore tallied one shot apiece on
the afternoon.
Salisbury scored two goals in the first half by Ben DeLisle and
Alex Hargrove. Then in the second half, Sam Forline netted
back-to-back scores six minutes apart and Chas Gray and Dave
Corrigan capped the scoring for the visitors in the final seven
minutes of the game.
Hood will look to snap a three-game losing skid Wednesday when
it hosts Stevenson University at 3 p.m. in another CAC game.
