Men's Soccer Falls to Stevenson, 2-0

FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College men's soccer team (4-11, 1-6 CAC) dropped a 2-0 decision to the visiting Stevenson University Mustangs (5-9-2, 1-4-1 CAC) Wednesday afternoon in a Capital Athletic Conference game at Thomas Athletic Field.

After a scoreless first half, the Mustangs got on the board in the 54th minute when Bill DePaolo tapped in a rebound after Shawn Fernholz rejected Kyle Baker's inital shot attempt. Then in the 82nd minute, Sal Caltabiano tacked on an insurance goal off a feed from cousin Vinny Caltabiano for the final margin.

Fernholz turned away eight shots for the Blazers in defeat while Adam Wiatrowski made four saves for the Mustangs.

Hood wraps up the 2008 campaign Wednesday hosting the second-ranked team in NCAA Division III, the York College (Pa.) Spartans, at 3 p.m. in a CAC contest at Thomas Athletic Field.
