ARLINGTON, Va.--Marymount University's Daniel Lozano tallied
five points on a pair of goals and an assist to lift the Saints
(3-5-2, 1-0 CAC) to a 4-0 Capital Athletic Conference victory over
the Hood College men's soccer team (3-7, 0-2 CAC) Saturday evening
at Washington & Lee High School.
Lozano's two tallies came within the first 17 minutes of the
contest. He then assisted on Andrew Stearns' goal in the 20th
minute. Faris Al Ismali completed the scoring late in the second
half off double assists from Nathan Blumenschein and Alex Herman.
The Saints outshot Hood 17-2 on the evening but Shawn Fernholz
matched his season-high with 11 saves in the net. Mike Edwards and
Max Gebhart tallied Hood's shots on goal.
The Blazers look to end their five-game losing skid Saturday
hosting CAC foe Gallaudet University at 3 p.m. at Thomas Athletic
Field.
