OWINGS MILLS, Md.--Seven different players scored for the
Stevenson University Mustangs (8-8, 3-3 CAC) in a 7-0 Capital
Athletic Conference victory over the Hood College men's soccer team
(2-12, 0-6 CAC) Tuesday afternoon.
The Mustangs tallied four goals in the first half and three in
the second and recorded their third straight shutout of the season.
Five different Stevenson goalkeepers saw time in the net and
combined for the shutout.
Sophomore Jon Butterfield and freshmen Jaime Ramirez and Aaron
Crone all registered shots for Hood, which was outshot 24-3 on the
day. Freshman William Lane stopped seven shots in the losing cause.
Tyler King, Josh Danza, Chris Sokolis and Ansger Otto all
notched a goal and an assist in the victory.
Hood next travels to Washington, D.C., Friday to take on the
Gallaudet University Bison at 7:30 p.m. in a CAC match.
