FREDERICK, Md.--The Hood College women's swim team (0-6) fell to
the Lebanon Valley College Dutchwomen (2-1) by a count of 138-67
Saturday in the Blazers' home opener at the Huntsinger Aquatics
Center.
Lindsay Cronin clocked her best time of the season in the 1000
free in 11:49.65, good for first place. Andrea Haines also chopped
33 seconds off her season-best in the event.
Arielle Harding won the 50 free in 26.68 and the 100 breast in
1:13.16 and was second in the 100 free while Theresa Schwarzwalder
took second in the 200 IM and the 100 back and was third in the 100
fly.
Tairen Lamkin improved her time in the 100 breast by more than
three seconds while Aleece Groom lowered her time in the 500 free
by nearly six seconds. Emily Schrodel boasted a four-second
improvement in her 100 back time while Catherine Brown and Daniela
Mittlekamp lowered their time in the 100 free and 100 fly,
respectively.
The Blazers are idle next week but return to action Nov. 18-19
at the Randolph-Macon Invitational.
