WINCHESTER, Va.—The Hood College men's soccer team (3-4-1, 0-1-1 CAC) was downed by Shenandoah (1-6-1) 1-0 in a non-conference matchup Wednesday night.

The Blazers have dropped their last three games and were shutout for the fourth consecutive game. With a number of injuries to key players the lack of depth is possibly catching up with the team in blue and gray.

The Hornets got on the board in the 15th minute with a goal by Tedo Al-Hamdan. Kevin Kupris played a solid through ball to Al-Hamdan and there was nothing Hood goalkeeper Will Lane could do as Al-Hamdan put the ball in the back of the net. Lane was credited with two saves on the evening while Shenandoah goalkeeper James Dutcher saved five Hood attempts.

Hood was also outshot 13-8 with sophomore Eric Diehl pacing the squad with three shots. Hood also lost the battle in corner kicks 4-2.

The Blazers return to the pitch on October 8 for a Capital Athletic Conference road test against rival Stevenson at 1 p.m.
