WILKES-BARRE, Pa.--The Hood College women's swim team (6-3, 4-3
MAC) won seven individual events and captured a 100-98 Middle
Atlantic Conferences victory over King's College (Pa.) Saturday
afternoon.
Among the winners for Hood were Shannon McHale in the 200 free
(2:09.86) and the 200 back (2:17.31); Caitlin Fay in the 500 free
(5:29.85, season-best), the 50 free (26.42, season-best) and the
100 free (56.99, season-best) and Lauren Fogarty in the 200 IM
(2:18.89) and the 200 fly (2:19.58).
Lindsay Cronin posted a seven-second drop in her 1000 free time
(11:43.41), while Brenna Elizondo had a season-best in the 200 free
(2:19.36). Daniela Mittelkamp lowered her 200 fly time by more than
six seconds (2:54.22), while Cronin (1:02.85) and Meg Blodgett
(1:03.82) had season-best swims in the 100 free. Cronin also
knocked almost a second off her 500 free time (5:46.76).
The Blazers return to King's again in two weeks for the Diamond
City Invitational Nov. 30-Dec. 1.
