READING, Pa.--The Hood College men's swim team (7-4, 4-4 MAC)
split a double dual at Albright College Saturday. The Blazers
bested Ocean County Community College, 73-42, but lost to the
Lions, 89-34, in conference action.
Alex Bodine set a school record in the 100 fly, winning the
event by 0.10 seconds over Albright's Alex Bauer in 55.09. The
previous Hood record was 55.20 set by Chris Nemecek at the 2009
Capital Athletic Conference championships.
Alex Bodine also won the 100 back (55.92), while older brother
Andrew Bodine won the 200 breast (2:31.09). The 200 free relay team
of Connor Eliff, Jonathan Bullard-Sisken, Jon Collier and Daniel
Lee touched the wall first in 1:37.89.
Andrew Bodine was the runner-up in the 50 free (22.42) and the
100 free (50.59) while Alex Bodine came in second in the 200 back
(2:06.63).
Hood will host its first and only meet of the season Saturday
versus Frostburg State University at Huntsinger Aquatics Center at
2 p.m.
