James Brown (Lancaster, Pa. / Lancaster Country Day) scored a career-high 15 points and had eight rebounds in the losing effort. He hit 7-of-11 field goals in the game, and had two blocks and a pair of steals. Trevor Magnuski (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) matched his career-high with 11 rebounds, his third game with that many this year. Chris Cook (Mechanicsville, Va. / Lee-Davis) had four assists. Tanner Ruths (Stephens City, Va. / Sherando) had three steals.
Kevin Agnew scored a game-high 31 points, overcoming a 5-of-17 night from the field by getting to the free throw line 20 times, hitting 19. The senior added seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals. Travis Conrad went 5-of-10 from 3-point range and had 17 points. Andy Orr grabbed 10 boards.
A slow start for the Blazers allowed LVC to open the game with a 23-8 run. Hood kept pace from there and trailed 35-22 at the half.
In the second half, Davon Hill (Clinton, Md. / Potomac School) pulled the Blazers within 41-31 with 15:54 to play, but Conrad hit two threes as the Dutchmen scored eight straight points to put the game out of reach.
Hood outrebounded Lebanon Valley 45-43 and held a 19-8 advantage in second chance points. While Lebanon Valley hit just 39 percent from the field, the Dutchmen sank 10-of-25 3-point field goals (40 percent), and went 24-of-31 at the free throw line (77 percent).
Hood travels to Lycoming on January 31 for a 3 p.m. tip off.
