FREDERICK, Md. Hood College defeated Lebanon Valley by a score of 145-53.
Ashley Griffin (Littlestown, Pa. / Delone Catholic) won two individual events and also added a first in a relay. Lauren Fogarty (Arnold, Md. / Broadneck) finished first in two individual events. Hayley Rogers (Jefferson, Md. / Brunswick), Caitlin Fay (Henrico, Va. / Mills E. Godwin) and Shannon McHale (Hauppauge, N.Y. / Hauppauge) each placed first in an individual event, as well as each taking first in a relay event. Brittany Whitham (Fort Collins, Colo. / Resurrection Christian) took first in an individual event. Shannon Welch (Henderson, Nev. / Las Vegas Academy of the Arts), Sydney Langer (Falls Church, Va. / Falls Church), Marisa Pandolfo (Holbrook, N.Y. / Sachem East) and Lindsay Cronin (Arlington, Va. / Washington & Lee) all swam on winning relays.
Griffin placed first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.04) and in the 100 free (55.35). She also swam the first leg on the winning 200 free relay race with Rogers, Pandolfo and Cronin. (1:49.68).
Fogarty paced the field in the 500 free (5:27.61) and in the 200 individual medley (2:18.54).
Rogers won the 50 free with a time of 25.92, a second and a half ahead of the field. She also swam the last leg on the winning 200 free relay.
Fay swam a leg on the winning 200-yard medley relay with McHale, Welch and Langer. (2:01.19). She took first in the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.48), and finished second in the 200 free (2:06.11).
McHale took first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:04.00. She finished second in the 100 backstroke (1:06.19).
Whitham won the 1000 free clocking in at 11:30.39. She also finished second in the 500 free (5:37.92).
Pandolfo finished second place 200 medley relay with Fogarty, Brittany Devalk (Elk River, Minn. / Elk River) and Theresa Schwarzwalder (Columbia, Md. / Wilde Lake) in 2:01.94. Pandolfo finished third in the 100 butterfly (1:15.72).
Devalk placed second 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:18.74. She also finished third in the 200 IM (2:33.67).
Anne Lessard (Natick, Mass. / Natick) finished second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:28.28. She took third in the 100 backstroke (1:06.69).
Schwarzwalder placed second in the 100 butterfly finishing at 1:10.79.
Langer had a pair of second place finishes in the 100 free (58.19) and the 50 free (27.08).
Before the meet Hood honored its three seniors, Cronin, Rogers and Schwarzwalder.
The victory closed out the dual meet season for the Blazers with a 9-3 overall mark and a 7-3 record in the MAC.
Hood travels to York, Pennsylvania for the MAC Championships on February 12-15.
