Glenside, Pa. - Hood College dropped a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth contest at Arcadia, 63-49.

Allie Appleby (Bel Air, Md. / C. Milton Wright) scored a season-high 13 points to lead the Blazers. She was 5-of-8 shooting. Alexis Andrukat (Smithsburg, Md. / Smithsburg) added 12 points and two blocks. Verkia Smith (Waldorf, Md. / North Point) grabbed nine rebounds. Denisha Robinson (Richmond, Va. / Midlothian) came off the bench for four assists and three steals. 

Hood came out of the gates slowly, as the Knights opened the game with a 17-3 run and led 31-13 at halftime.

In the third quarter, a 3-point play by Olivia Roseman stretched the lead to 43-21 before Hood made a run. The Blazers used an 11-1 run to pull within 44-33 after four straight points by Andrukat with 1:48 to go. Arcadia slowed Hood's momentum and the Blazers would get that close on just one more occasion, a basket by Smith that made it 56-45 with 2:36 left in the fourth.

Addy Crenny had a double-double with 15 points and 17 rebounds for the Knights. She also had four blocks and three steals in the game. Olivia Roseman scored a game-high 16 points and matched Imani Alston with five assists. Alston and Dominique Hassinger scored 10 points apiece. 

Hood returns to BB&T Arena on January 4 for a non-conference contest against Franklin & Marshall at 6 p.m.
