Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. - Clay Smith scored twice and the Hood College defense limited Arcadia to just one shot on goal as the Blazers defeated the Knights 3-0 in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth play.
The win improved Hood to 9-2 on the season and 3-0 on in the MAC Commonwealth, both of which are the best starts in school history.

How It Happened
- The two sides were scoreless into the 26th minute. Christiano Pillari took a free kick and Smith headed it home for a 1-0 lead.
- The one-goal lead held into the second half. In the 50th minute, Juliano Pillari sent a through ball ahead to Demich, who side-stepped the keeper for a 2-0 lead.
- Smith struck again for his second career multi-goal effort. Tutzauer won a 50/50 ball in the air and then sent a high pass ahead to a sprinting Smith. The freshman shot to the far post to put the game out of reach in the 83rd minute.
- Meanwhile, the Blazers' back line of Kyle Bulgarelli, Robert Ellerson, Hirvin Polanco and Christiano Pillari held Arcadia without many quality chances. The Knights' only shot on goal was a free kick from 30 yards in the 13th minute.

- Arcadia is 6-4-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the MAC Commonwealth.
- Chris Watson made 13 saves for the Knights.
- It was Hood's second straight shutout victory.
