Box Score READING, Pa. - Hood College's Dajah Gee and Deaja Colden combined for 46 points as the Blazers nearly erased a 20-point deficit at Alvernia before falling 79-75.

How it Happened
- Miranda Hoover of Alvernia was the difference, scoring 32 points on 15 of 22 shooting.
- A layup by Celina Herndon tied the game at 71-71 with 2:07 to play in the game after the Blazers had trailed 56-35 in the third quarter. Maya Cooper went coast-to-coast for the Crusaders to retake the lead with 1:58 to go before Colden knocked down a jumper to knot the game at 73-73 21 seconds later.
- Neither team scored again until Kiersten Ingram converted a three-point play with 39 seconds left for a 76-73 Alvernia lead. After Hood committed a turnover on its next possession, Cooper hit a free throw for a four-point lead with 23 seconds remaining. An Appleby layup brought the Blazers within 77-75 with 11 seconds to go. Cooper, however, was fouled and hit both with nine seconds left to ice the contest.
- A pair of free throws by Liv Andrefski with 5:06 to go in the third quarter gave the Crusaders their biggest lead of the game, 56-35. Gee scored four straight points during an 8-0 run that started the Blazers' comeback. The freshman scored again as time expired in the quarter to bring Hood within 61-48 heading into the final period.
- Hood opened the fourth quarter with a 23-10 stretch to tie the game on Herndon's layup.
- In the second quarter, a jumper by Gee gave the Blazers a 24-21 lead, but Alvernia went on an 18-4 run to take a 39-28 lead with 2:25 to go in the half. Hood kept the deficit at 11, trailing 44-33 at halftime.
