FREDERICK, Md.- The Hood College women's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season to the visiting Shenandoah Hornets 74-58.

• Laura Vetter's five first quarter points along with Robinson's four gave Hood an early 9-5 lead in the first five minutes of the game.
• Shenandoah responded with a 12-0 run to take a 17-9 lead after one quarter of play.
• The Hornets increased their lead to 34-20 at the half.
• A layup by Pitt with six seconds remaining capped an 8-0 run to end the third period and trim the deficit to seven points 46-39.
• Hood pulled within six points in the fourth but could not get any closer.

• Kirstyn Arcata scored 21 points and Ashley Stone added 10 points, five assists, and six rebounds for the Hornets.
