Rocket League drops a close match to Molloy College 3-2


FREDERICK, MD - The Hood College rocket league team lost a close match against Molloy College in a quiet week in esports action.  

Rocket League: Molloy College 3, Hood 2 / Lebanon Valley 3, Hood 0
  • The Hood College rocket league team lost a close 3-2 match against Molloy in ECC action, and fell to LVC in the quarterfinals of the NECC fall tournament. 
Molloy 3, Hood 2

The Blazers won 1-2, 3-0, 0-3, 2-1 and 3-1.
  • In game one, Nate Burnett (Westminster, MD/Westminster) (natertot) scored the lone goal for the Blazers, assisted by Sam Driscoll (Woodsboro, MD/Walkersville) (slammin18) in a close 2-1 first game.
  • In game two, Hood had goals by way of Driscoll netting two and Burnett adding the final goal to seal a game two win. Luke Sisco (Frederick, MD/Frederick) (ALLCAPS101) recorded two assists in the game to help Hood tie up the match 1-1.
  • In game three, Molloy scored three not allowing a Blazer goal. Sisco and Burnett added three saves in the game, as Molloy took the match lead back 2-1.
  • In game four, Sisco scored two goals to help Hood force a final game in the match. 
  • In game five, Sisco scored the lone goal for the Blazers, but Molloy scored two to secure a close match victory. 
LVC 3, Hood 0 (NECC Quaterfinal)

The Blazers fell 5-2, 5-4 and 2-1.
  • In game one, Driscoll and Burnett scored a goal each, but LVC netted five goals to take the game one victory.
  • In game two, in a close game Burnett recorded a hat trick, while Driscoll added a goal. Driscoll and Sisco totalled four assists in the game to help keep the game close, but LVC took control of the match going up 2-0.
  • In game three, Driscoll scored the only goal for the Blazers as LVC took the match with a 2-1 game three. 


League of Legends: Adrian College 2, Hood 0 (NECC Quarterfinal)
  • The League of Legends team dropped their opening round matchup against Adrian College 2-0 in the NECC fall tournament. 


Overwatch: The Overwatch team was idle last week in esports action, but will start the NECC fall tournament as the overall #1 seed taking on the winner of Midway University and Murray State University on December 2nd.   

Valorant: The Valorant team was idle last week in esports action, but will start the NECC fall tournament as the overall #1 seed taking on Limestone University on November 22nd.
