Women's lacrosse drops matchup with Devils

FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's lacrosse team fell to the visiting Devils of FDU-Florham with a final score of 21-6.

Inside the Box Score How it Happened
  • The Devils scored four goals within the first four minutes of play. Skorobatsch scored the first Blazers goal at 21:03 on a free position shot, cutting the deficit to three goals. FDU scored on a free position shot of their own at 17:06, but the Blazers responded back with three more goals, trailing the Devils 5-4 with 13:49 left in the half. FDU scored six more goals, leading 11-4 at the half.
  • A goal scored by FDU at 28:38 in the second half gave the Devils a 12-4 lead. Wright scored just over a minute later, bringing the score to 12-5 with 27:16 left to play. Another FDU goal at 26:10 was answered by Connelly, who scored off of an assist from Tenley Reeder at 24:53 and gave the Blazers their final goal of the game. The Devils scored eight more unanswered goals, finalizing their 21-6 win.
