Women's tennis wins top two singles flights vs. LVC

FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's tennis team fell 7-2 to Lebanon Valley in the regular season finale for the Blazers. 

Singles
  • Megan Carter and Skylar Wright won at first and second singles, respectively. Carter was a 6-4, 5-7, 11-9 winner over Jacquelyn McBride at No. 1. At No. 2, Wright scored a 6-4, 6-3 win over Meredith Haas. 
Doubles
  • Carter and Wright were outlasted by McBride and Haas at first doubles 8-7 (10-3). 
Notes
  • Hood recognized the contributions of seniors Carter, Wright, Abbey Bloom, Jordan Bailey and men's senior Ben DeLeo for their contributions to the program.
Up Next
Hood is the sixth seed in the upcoming Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Championships and will travel to Alvernia on Tuesday, May 4.
