MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The Hood College volleyball team defeated Sage but fell to both Oswego State and Morrisville State at the Morrisville Tournament. 

Inside the Numbers

• Over the course of the three matches, Caitlin Ambruster had 35 kills, 43 digs, six aces and five blocks. 
• Emma Elizondo had 27 total kills. 
• Ainslee Barger had 38 total assists. 

Oswego 3, Hood 2

• Oswego won 25-27, 25-23, 15-25, 29-27, 15-6. 
• Ambruster had a match-high 14 kills and added four blocks and 17 digs. 
• Elizondo recorded 12 kills. 
• Katie Amaguana finished with 11 assists. 
• Robyn Reus led the team with 18 digs and three aces. 
• For the Lakers, Georgia Farry notched 13 kills and Skylar Bechard finished with 35 digs. Emily Zeisler served eight aces. 

Hood 3, Sage 1

• The Blazers picked up their first win of the year 25-19, 21-25, 25-19, 25-18. 
• Elizondo notched 13 kills, while Ambruster, who hit .409 in the win, notched 11 kills. 
• Ainslee Barger dished out 16 assists, while Jackie Malitzki added a dozen. 
• Ambruster tacked on 14 digs for a double-double. 
• Reus finished with 10 digs. 
• Emma Parkington led Sage with seven kills. 

Morrisville 3, Hood 0

• The Mustangs won 25-20, 25-15, 25-23.
• Ambruster continued her strong play with 10 kills, four aces and 11 digs. 
• Barger had 22 assists. 
• For Morrisville, Kirsten Florio and Brianna Gates tied for the team lead with nine kills. 

Notes

• The win over the Gators was the first victory for new Blazers' head coach Kevin Russell. 
• Hood ends the weekend with a season record of 1-3.
