Men's soccer downs Eastern Mennonite 5-2

FREDERICK, Md. – The Hood College men's soccer team earned its second victory of the season with a 5-2 win over Eastern Mennonite with first year Alioune Diop scoring two goals in the midweek win.

  • Eastern Mennonite got the scoring started with an early tally by Ariel Morales Bonilla off an assist by Nico Macgregor.
  • Diop scored his first of the day off of a rebounded shot taken by Weimann.
  • Weems assisted Hammer's second goal of the season on a free kick in the games 42nd minute to extend the lead 4-2.
  • Coming out of the half time break, Diop capitalized on the rebound of an Urbina shot to push the lead to two, 3-1.
