FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's basketball team led by four points in the third quarter, but a 17-4 fourth quarter by York gave the Spartans a 55-35 final in Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth play.

How it Happened
- The teams traded baskets all through the first quarter, until 3-pointers by Newson and Davis-Hans down the stretch gave the Blazers a 14-10 lead to head into the second.
- York and Hood struggled to find rhythms as the second quarter unfolded with the two teams shooting a combined 9-for-29 from the floor. Hood trailed 21-20 but Kayla Watkins-Harvey found a loose ball on the block with eight seconds left to send the Blazers into the locker room ahead 22-21.
- The teams continued in a back-and-forth affair in the third quarter with three lead changes in the first five minutes. After free throws by the Spartans' Savannah Wilson at the 4:49 mark, York ended the period with an 8-1 run to take a 38-31 lead. Wilson scored nine of her 14 points in the quarter.
- York controlled the fourth quarter as the Spartans allowed only four points to seal the win. Zumbrum scored six of her 14 points in the period.
