WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Hood College women's tennis team dropped just eight total games across its three doubles and six singles matches in a 9-0 victory at Trinity Washington.
Doubles
Singles
- Sheffler, Mark and Castellano each won 8-0. Sheffler defeated Nyanko at third singles, Mark beat Ogutu and Castellano was a winner at fourth singles against Nunez.
- Hood won its matches at first and second singles by 8-1 finals. Cautero bested Walker at first, while Guldi was victorious at second singles against Jafer.
- Jakubowski and Tchomue played the closest match of the afternoon at sixth singles, with Jakubowski notching an 8-5 win.
Notes
- Guldi, Sheffler and Jakubowski each recorded their first career singles wins.
- It was the first doubles wins for the pairings of Mark and Sheffler and Castellano and Jakubowski.
- Hood improved to 2-3 on the season.
- Trinity is 0-2.
