FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's tennis team hosted Messiah University in a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth match that resulted in a 9-0 loss for the Blazers on Tuesday.
Doubles
- At No. 3 doubles, Shea Jakubowski (Danbury, CT/Danbury) and Kim Castellano (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne) lost a close 8-5 match to Hannah Murray and Sarah Fleming.
Singles
- Mary Emma Guldi (West Chester, PA/Bayard Rustin) fell 6-3, 6-0 to Rachel Macroft at No. 2 singles.
- At number three singles, Angela Tozzi earned the 6-3, 6-0 decision over Lauren Sheffler (Williamsport, MD/Williamsport).
- Castellano fell 6-1, 6-2 to Murray at No. 5 singles.
