FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College women's tennis team earned their first Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth victory 7-2 over Eastern University on Saturday.

- Mary Emma Guldi picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win over Kayla Patitucci at No. 2 singles.
- At number three singles, Sheffler won by a 6-1, 6-4 decision over Gruber.
- Mark blanked Martin 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles for Hood.
- Jakubowski defeated Mercedes Lohmann 6-0, 6-1 at number five singles.
- Castellano won by default number six singles.

Hood moves to 4-5 overall and 1-2 in the MAC Commonwealth. The Blazers will be back on the court on Tuesday, April 16 at 3:30 p.m. when they travel to York College for a match against the Spartans.
