CRESSON, Pa. - The Hood College volleyball team dropped a 3-1 final on the road at Mount Aloysius in non-conference action.

- MacKenzi Wright (Hagerstown, MD/South Hagerstown) had 13 kills, hitting .323, and finished with four aces.
- Ann Ofoegbu (Falling Waters, WV/Spring Mills) recorded 10 kills.
- Jackie Malitzki (Allentown, PA/Parkland) dished out 33 assists and added 10 digs. Her final assist of the evening gave her 900 in her career, the fifth player in program history to reach that number.

- The Mounties started quickly with kills by four different players during a 5-0 run.
- The Blazers pulled within 6-5 on an ace by Shane Simms (Baltimore, MD/Sparrows Point) but Hood would get no closer than two points the rest of the set.
Hood 25, Mount Aloysius 17
- The Blazers rebounded to take the second set. Mount Aloysius took a 17-16 lead on a service error, but Hood scored the next nine points to close the set.
- After Ambruster teamed with Daley for a block, she added a kill to have a hand in the first two points of the run.
Mount Aloysius 25, Hood 17
- The Mounties opened the third set with an 18-5 run.
- Hood responded with a 12-5 run of its own, pulling within 23-17 on a kill by Wright, but Mount Aloysius scored the final two points to take a 2-1 lead.
Mount Aloysius 25, Hood 23
- Wright had three aces during a 6-0 run late in the fourth set, giving Hood a 22-18 lead.
- The Blazers still led 23-20 before the Mounties rattled off five points in a row to come from behind and take the set and the match.
Analysis
- The Mounties held a .238-to-.123 edge in hitting.
- The Blazers served up 10 aces, compared to only three for Mount Aloysius.
For the Opponent
- Molly Richards had a match-high 16 kills, while Ashlee Parrish added 13 and Emily Henry finished with 10.
- Richards also led all players with 20 digs and Henry had five blocks.
