ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Hood College women's swim teawm won nine out of the 13 events in a 133-95 victory over Lebanon Valley in a Middle Atlantic Conference dual meet.
Winners
- Andrea Kassa (Monongahela, Pa./Ringgold) had three first-place finishes on the day. The sophomore won the 400-meter individual medley (5:43.05), the 100-meter butterfly (1:12.68) and the 200-meter IM (2:42.41).
- Ridley Little (Bristol, Va./Virginia) picked up individual wins in the 200-meter freestyle (2:33.62) and the 400free (5:19.56).
- Grace Winpigler (Mount Airy, Md./Linganore) had a first-place finish in the 100-meter breaststroke, clocking in at 1:27.87. The sophomore also came in second in the 200-meter breaststroke, finishing in 3:15.90.
- Melissa Jacobs (Calvert County, Md./Calvert) took first place in the 200-meter back with a time of 2:39.60.
- Jordan Taylor (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area) touched the wall first in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:15.31.
- Hood had the top two finishes in the 200-medley relay. Taylor, Nina Goddyn (Bussy-les-Daours, France/United World College Red Cross Nordic - Norway), Josephine Sasse (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) and Little combined to win in 2:28.04. Jacobs, Olivia Menusan (Frederick, Md./Urbana), Winpigler and Molly Cronin (Ellicott City, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) finished with a time of 2:28.48.
Seconds
- Menusan had two second place finishes on the day. The sophomore placed second in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:15.99, and in the 200-meter back with a time of 2:43.01.
- Goddyn was the runner-up in the 100-meter freestyle, touching the wall in 1:10.96.
Notes
- The Blazers finished the season 5-5 and are 4-5 in the conference.
- The Flying Dutchmen fall to 3-7 overall and are 2-4 in the conference.
