Women's soccer stumbles at Widener

CHESTER, Pa. - A late goal in the first half proved to be the deciding factor in a tight contest as the Hood College women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Widener University in a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth matchup.

Gabi Dolan (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) made six saves in the match.

How it Happened

After a defensive first half that saw Widener take 10 shots, Kelly Barr managed to get one past Dolan with less than five minutes in the half to give the Pride the lead.

Despite Hood's best efforts to find the tying goal, including a free kick in the final minute of play, the Blazers were unable to get on the scoresheet before time expired.
