WASHINGTON, D.C. – Four players scored double digits against Gallaudet in the first round of the Battle of D.C. & Maryland as the Blazers defeated the Bison 101-54.

Justin Gielen (Edgewater, Md./DeMatha) led the Blazers with 16 points, shooting 75 percent from the field and 4-5 from three-point range.
Garrett Cox (Glen Allen, VA/Glen Allen) finished with 15 points, adding two blocks and four rebounds.
Karron Mallory (Manchester, Pa./Northeastern) racked up 12 points and five rebounds.
Kullen Robinson (Alexandria, Va./Alexandria City) totaled 10 points, going 3-4 from the field and making both free throws he was awarded.
Garrison Linton (New Market, Md./Oakdale) was all over the court, picking up five steals, eight assists and six rebounds.
How it Happened
Hood started hot, ripping off an 11-3 run that was capped off by a
Ryan Hollwedel (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) three-pointer.
Although the Bison made it a five-point game with just over eight minutes to go after eight straight points from Blessed Mbogo, a couple layups from
Jude Huseby (Frederick, Md./Urbana) would get the Blazers back in control.
A three-point basket from
Yhali Steinhauer (Jezreel Valley, Israel/Putnam Science Academy (Conn.)) with three seconds left in the half would give Hood a 48-29 cushion after the first 20 minutes of play.
Although Gallaudet scored the first seven points of the second half, a 6-0 run got the Blazers back on track.
With just under seven and a half minutes to go, Mallory would make his second three-pointer in a row, and the team's fourth straight.
The Blazers would break the 100-point mark for the first time this season with a Robinson shot from beyond the arc with just 25 seconds left, finishing up the offensive outburst for the night with a bang.
For the Opponent
Mbogo ended the afternoon with 24 points and three steals.
Brandon Chung tallied 10 points while coming down with six rebounds.
Analysis
Hood outshot Gallaudet 49.4 percent to 34.9 percent
The Blazers had 53 points come from the bench, compared to just 14 for the Bison.
Hood went 16-45 from the three-point range, with Gallaudet only going 5-29.
