FREDERICK, Md
. – A well-balanced offensive attack helped lead the Hood College men's basketball team to a 91-58 victory over the Goucher College Gophers in the team's final game of 2023.

Kullen Robinson (Alexandria, Va./Alexandria City) led the Blazers with 12 points, shooting 63 percent from the floor and going 2-3 from three-point range.
Garrison Linton (New Market, Md./Oakdale) finished the game with 11 points and six assists.
Jude Huseby (Frederick, Md./Urbana) came down with six rebounds, with five of them being defensive.
How it Happened
Hood's offense exploded after a quiet first minute, as two free throws from
Jack Fricka (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac) for the game's first points sparked a 22-5 run for the Blazers over the next nine minutes, shooting a clinical 9-13 during that time.
Not only could Hood shoot, but their defense was also exceptional, holding Goucher to single digits for more than 11 minutes into the game.
Both teams spent the next five minutes matching each other basket-for-basket until the Blazers made three shots in a row to continue their impressive first half, going into halftime with a 46-24 advantage.
The Gophers came out of the second half with a much more composed offense that went on a 16-9 run across the first 6:13 of the half to cut Hood's lead to 55-40, which was as close as they would get the rest of the game.
Fricka decided he needed to spark the offense himself, scoring the game's next five points with a free throw and a pair of layups to begin extending the lead once again.
Hood's lead stretched to 30 points for the first time with just under two minutes to play after a long-range bucket from
Troy Fulton (Denver, N.C./Lincoln Charter School), and
Karron Mallory (Manchester, Pa./Northeastern) making it a clean 33-point margin of victory with eight seconds until the buzzer sounded.

Onterio Miller led Goucher with 16 points off of 58 percent shooting along with six rebounds.
Analysis
The Blazers shot 47 percent from the floor compared to just 34 percent for the Gophers.
Hood outrebounded Goucher 41-33.
The Blazers' bench outscored the Gophers' 48-24.
