SELINSGROVE, Pa. and HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Hood College women's track and field team participated in split-squad action at the Larry Sharpe Memorial Invitational at Hagerstown Community College and the SU Tune Up at Susquehanna University.
Record Breakers
- The 1600-meter sprint medley team of Ros Taylor (Waldorf, Md./Thomas Stone), Megan Pezenosky (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville), Ada Heller (Germantown, Md./Northwest) and Maddie Arbaugh clocked in a time of 5:07.10. It was the first time the women's track and field team competed in the event, which is not an NCAA championship track event.
Highlights
- At the SU Tune Up, Gloria Castillo (Puerto Cortes, Honduras/Meade (Md.)) finished eighth in the long jump with a mark of 4.76 meters (15-71/4). The mark is a career-best and is the third-best mark in school history. Castillo also ran a career-best in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.57 seconds, which is the fifth-best time in program history.
- Pezenosky ran a career-best in the 600-meter dash with a time of 1:58.50 at Hagerstown. The time is the second fastest time in school history. Maddie Arbaugh also ran in the event and recorded a career-best with a time of 2:01.48. This time is the fourth fastest time in school history.
