CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Hood College women's soccer team scored twice in the final 18 minutes to defeat Wilson 4-2 in the season opener for both teams.

Four different players scored for the Blazers.
Madison Sheffield (Frederick, Md./Urbana),
Priya Nair (Falls Church, Va./George C. Marshall),
Ava Swartz (Laurel, Md./Atholton) and
Caroline Roberts (Elkton, Md./North East) each found the back of the net.
Roberts added an assist for a three-point effort, while
Adrianna Escobar (Germantown, Md./Seneca Valley) recorded an assist in her collegiate debut.
Gabi Dolan (Quarryville, Pa./Solanco) made two saves in net.
How it Happened
After Hailey Shaffer's second score of the evening knotted the match at 2-2 in the 69th minute, the Blazers broke through just three minutes later for the game-winner. Swartz found the back of the net unassisted midway through the 73rd minute for what proved to be the game-winner.
Roberts gave Hood some insurance with a marker in the 86th minute with the help of Escobar.
Neither team scored in the first half and Shaffer's first goal at 49:28 gave the Phoenix the lead.
Madison Sheffield's (Frederick, Md./Urbana) first career goal leveled the score in the 62nd minute and Nair gave the Blazers the lead three minutes later.
Analysis
Hood outshot the Phoenix 15-10.
For the Opponent
In addition to goals by Shaffer, Annie Smith and Maddy Miller were credited with assists.
Rebecca Marakovitz made five saves in a scoreless first half. Erin Roszkowiak saved three shots in the second half.
