FREDERICK, Md. - A second-half goal proved to be the deciding factor in a hotly contested match as the Hood College women's soccer team defeated the Marymount Saints 2-1.

How it Happened
After controlling possession the majority of the first half, Swartz powered past the Saints defense to put a well-placed through ball in the back of the net with only 14.4 seconds left.
Swartz would find a streaking Escobar later in the 75th minute to give the Blazers another goal and a 2-0 lead.
The Saints took advantage of a flurry of corner kicks late in the second half, as Anissa Chiekh cleaned up a rebound in front of the net in the 88th minute to cut the Blazers lead in half.
Analysis
Hood outshot Marymount 12-8.
The Blazers had a 9-5 edge in corners.

Isabelle Davis assisted on the Saints' lone goal.
