FREDERICK, Md. - The Hood College men's soccer team defeats Eastern University for a Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth clash in a 1-0 win. 
 
Inside the Box Score 
James Endicott (Port Republic, N.J./Cedar Creek) netted a goal for the Blazers.  
 
Orlando Portillo (Silver Spring, Md./John F. Kennedy) and Patrick Vassallo (Laytonsville, Md./The Heights School) were credited with assists on the goal. 
 
Nick Humphries (Potomac, Md./Potomac) played 90 minutes and made two saves. 
 
How it Happened 
Eastern had more scoring opportunities in the first half with three corners and five shots, yet both teams remained scoreless going into the second half.  
 
In the 55th minute Portillo passed the ball to Vassallo who found Endicott. The senior beat the keeper for the only goal of the game for Hood. 
 
Analysis 
Eastern out shot Hood 13-6 and had the advantage in corners 5-1. 
 
For the Opponent 
Ty Bleiler recorded 1 save and played all 90 minutes.
