FREDERICK, Md. - The women's swimming team dove into competition as they hosted Messiah University, Widener University, and Kings College in a busy quad meet at the Huntsinger Aquatics Center. The team took a win over King's College 121-55 but fell to the other two opponents.
Top Times
Joelle Blake (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro) led Hood's distance effort with a 1000 Yard Freestyle that put her in fifth with a 12:55.63. She also competed in the 50 Free, touching in at 29.23.
Emma Prince (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Male) showed her endurance, racing both the 1000 Free and 100 Breaststroke, and clocking a 1:37.23 in the latter.
Sidney Brinkman (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) grinded out two performances with a 2:21.55 in the 200 Free and a 1:03.63 in the 100 Free.
Jordan Taylor (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area) represented the Blazers in the 100 Backstroke, finishing in 1:24.53.
Taegan Murphy (Walnutport, Pa./21st Century Cyber Charter) and
Erica Correll (Laurel, Md./Atholton) swam in the breaststroke and sprint events, with Murphy posting a 1:29.89 in the 100 Breast and Correll competing in multiple freestyle distances.
