OWINGS MILL, Md. – The men's soccer team kept the dam from breaking with the Mustangs 12 shots in the first half but trailed for most of the game and fell 2-1 to Stevenson on the road Tuesday night. The Blazers clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2016 with Widener's loss to Alvernia.

How it Happened
A relay to an open attacker downfield first hit off another Mustang and that redirect left Caulden of Stevenson for a one-on-one with the Blazer keeper and the hosts were on the board within the first five minutes.
The second blow came just after the half where a cross made it through the sea of defenders and found an open Mustang to use some brute force to double the deficit.
A few minutes later, after the Blazers earned a free kick, the dangerous Topovich served a ball to a cutting Quenzer instead of going for goal and the header cashed in to give Hood life.
The Blazers continued to be tough in the midfield to slow down the derby, but one shot for the rest of the half on the offensive end couldn't help the Blue & Grey claw back into the match.
