FREDERICK, Md. – Hood College men's swimming teams hosted a tri-meet during Homecoming weekend against Stevenson University and Goucher College and although fell to both visitors, ended with some top-notch finishes.
The Hood College men's team opened the meet with a commanding victory in the
200-yard medley relay, posting a time of
1:48.58 behind the efforts of
Toronto Eura, James Martinez - Solis (New Market, Md./Linganore), Ben Foster (Lexington, Md./Homeschooled), and Jacob Hauff (Nazareth, Pa./Pen Argyl Area).
Hauff continued his standout day with a
first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (50.55) and another win in the
100-yard individual medley (57.79). Hauff also anchored the
200-yard freestyle relay, where Hood's A-team took first in
1:37.31.
Other notable performances included:
- Martinez - Solis: 2:04.43 in the 200 free, 25.56 in the 50 free
- Foster: 1:01.76 in the 100 fly, 1:14.46 in the 100 breast
- Toronto Eura: 32.26 in the 50 breast, 26.46 in the 50 fly
