FLEETWOOD, Pa. – The women's golf team competed at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championship this weekend and placed fourth out of the eleven teams at play. This marks the final collegiate rounds for
Mary Emma Guldi (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin),
Sarah Gribble (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) and
Katie Driscoll (Woodsboro, Md./Walkersville).
On the Scorecards
Mary Emma Guldi (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin) finished her first 18 holes with five pars but on day two shot an 81including birdies on Hole 1 and Hole 10 with eight more pars to boast. Her efforts earned a tied for 17
th finish.
Katie Driscoll (Woodsboro, Md./Walkersville) matched in placing with her day one 85 with nine pars and then a birdie on 17 to highlight her final 18 holes and wrap up a 171 weekend.
Sarah Gribble (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) followed with a 185 in her 36 holes and a birdie on Hole 6 was the silver lining in a tough final stretch.
Gabi Miller (Connellsville, Pa./Connellsville) bounced back after a tough day one to post an 89 and stay out of double bogey territory in her final 18.
Julia Shelby (Herndon, Va./South Lakes) rounds out the Blazers with a pair of pars in both of her rounds.
On the Leaderboard
Alvernia takes the team championship by two strokes on York with a 634.
Grace Strickland of York takes the top spot in individuals with a 152, edging out Fatima Rizvi of Albright by two strokes.
Hood places fourth with a 716 as a team, three strokes over Arcadia and nine strokes off the pace of Albright.
