HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The field hockey team battled on the road against the Eagles of Juniata, coming up short in the final minutes of regulation 3-2 on Thursday night.

The first quarter of play saw both the Blazers and Eagles in a defensive stalemate, with only one shot by Juniata that was blocked by Hood.
The Blazers had more offensive action entering the second quarter.
Ellie Dainton (Mays Landing, NJ./Saint Joseph Academy) had a shot blocked early into the quarter.
Sydney Fleming (Fredericksburg, Va./Courtland) stayed aggressive and had her shot saved by the Eagles goalie while teammate
Morgan Hackett (Hampstead, Md./Hereford) shot just wide of the goal.
Entering the half, the Blazers seemingly had momentum on their side.
The Eagles would quickly respond in the third quarters breaking the tie to capture the lead 1-0.

The fourth quarter again saw Juniata score earlier to make it 2-1.
Becca Medina (Spotsylvania, Va./Fredericksburg Christian) without hesitation scored to make it back even 2-2.
Shades of the first half stalemate began to occur in the fourth until the Eagles fired off a shot with four minutes remaining to grab the lead 3-2.
One final shot by Morgan Hackett (Hampstead, Md./Hereford) with a minute remaining was saved by the Eagles goalie to halt any chances the Blazers had at overtime.

Jane Corbin, Haleigh Wolverton, and Mackenzie Long all scored goals.
Kara Stringfellow had seven saves.
Analysis
The Blazers edged the Eagles in Penalty Corners 4-3.
