The visitors carried that momentum into the third set. After an early 3-3 deadlock, York erupted on a dominant 15-3 run that put the frame out of reach. The Spartans outhit Hood .385 to -.077 in the set and cruised to a 25-7 victory to move in front 2-1.
Facing elimination, Hood answered with its strongest stretch of the night in the fourth set. The Blazers used a 6-1 run midway through the frame to turn a one-point lead into a comfortable advantage. York cut the deficit to three late, but Hood responded with a 5-1 closing run to secure the 25-19 win and force a decisive fifth set.
The momentum remained with the Blazers in the final set. After the teams traded points early, Hood broke open a 5-5 tie with a crucial 6-1 run to take control.
