How it Happened
The Blazers entered the first half knowing they were in for a competitive, back-and-forth battle against the Knights. Neumann recorded the first shot of the game in the seventh minute, as Julianna Hatt sent a low-driven attempt toward goalkeeper

The second half continued much like the first, with both teams battling for possession and searching for the game's opening goal. Cook and
Dani Farias (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) looked to generate offensive opportunities for the Blazers, but Neumann's goalkeeper stood strong to keep Hood off the scoreboard. Both squads also had multiple opportunities off corner kicks, but neither could capitalize. The defensive battle continued through the final whistle, as the Blazers and Knights played to a 0-0 draw, closing out Hood's 2026 season.
