Chester, Pa -  Hood College Men's Track & Field brought the heat at the Danny Curran Invite on Saturday March 28, 2026 hosted by Widener University setting new school and personal records, leaving a mark for this season. 

Top Times

Junior Juan Barberena (Urbana, Md./Urbana) opened the day with a sharp 53.10 time in the men's 400 meter heat. Bringing the momentum for the Blazers, senior Alex Seskar (Great Mills, Md./Great Mills) raised the bar in the 5000 meter for the program breaking a school record and a personal record with a time of 15:41.13 stamping his name in the books!  

In the 800 meter, first-year Alonzo Miles (Washington, DC/KIPP DC College Prep) stepped up with a strong 2:08.22 while senior Leule Yohannes (Rockville, Md./Richard Montgomery) followed in with a time of 2:11.37 keeping the momentum rolling.

Finally, senior Chris Sappe (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) competed in the men's 1500 meter heat, dropping a time of 4:13.98 and placing 40th out of a 140-man field.
