Men's Cross Country dominate at Lock Haven Invite

Lock Haven, PA - A quad of Hood runners represented the Blazers in the men's 8K race at the Lock Haven Invite led by a strong top-20 finish from senior Warren Hersh (Havre de Grace, Md./The Tome School).

Top times:

Hersh turned in one of the best performances of the day for Hood, crossing the line in 19th place out of 200 runners with a personal-best time of 27:15.9 In a field packed with competitors from regional programs across Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic, he stayed near the front throughout the race and finished less than a minute behind the event winner.

Freshman Toshan Lama (Frederick, Md./Governor Thomas Johnson) also delivered a personal-best 28:46.8 to finish 85th overall. Ramze Keyrouz clocked a season-best of 30:14.6  while Alonzo Miles (Washington, DC/KIPP DC College Prep) followed with a personal-best 30:32.0. Their efforts helped Hood gain important race experience against one of the strongest fields on the Blazers' schedule.
