Hood College

Mickey Nelson was named an assistant coach for the field hockey team in the summer of 2021. 

Nelson arrives at Hood after serving as a coach for Metro Field Hockey Club for three years. As a coach, she gained experience with coaching girls from ages 18 and under. 

Nelson played three years of field hockey at Goucher College. In her career with the Gophers, she recorded two goals, three assists for seven points.  

She received her Bachelor of Arts in history with a concentration in secondary education. She is currently pursuing her master's in multidisciplinary studies in education.
