Zack Magill

Zack Magill

Zack Magill joins the Hood College men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach for the 2021-22 season. 
 
Magill comes from West Chester University (Pa.), graduating with a degree in health and physical education and a minor in athletic coaching. This past season, Magill was an assistant coach at Downingtown West High School (Pa.) and was a head coach for the East Coast Power AAU program 
  
While at West Chester, Magill served on the men’s basketball coaching staff as a student assistant coach for two years. Magill was responsible for assisting with all aspects of the program including scouting, film breakdowns, player development, strength training, conditioning, recruiting, and social media. Magill also helped run West Chester’s basketball camps, and ran his own basketball player development business, Court Sense Basketball. 
  
In Magill’s first season at West Chester, he helped lead the Golden Rams to a record of 22-9 overall, including a mark of 16-4 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and an appearance in the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championships. In Magill’s second season, he helped lead the Golden Rams to a record-breaking 13-0 start, finishing with a record of 20-10 overall. 
  
Prior to coaching with West Chester, Magill was an assistant coach at the Jack. M. Barrack Hebrew Academy, taking them to the league championship for the first time in two decades. 
  
Magill was a team captain at Lower Merion High School under Head Coach Gregg Downer, leading them to the state tournament.
