Coach Nathan Snitz joined Hood in 2022 as a graduate assistant who will primarily focus on the offensive unit for the Blazers.
Prior to Hood, Snitz was the volunteer assistant men’s lacrosse coach at Division II Lynn University where he worked with the offense and face-off units, he was also the box coach for the Fighting Knights.
Before he arrived at Lynn, he spent 2019-2021 as the offensive coordinator at Florida Atlantic University. At the helm of the offense, the Owls had some of their best offensive seasons in program history, including a 7-0 start in the COVID shortened 2020 season and a national top 20 ranking for the first time in program history.
Nathan also served as the Head Coach for Stoneman Douglas High School from 2018-2021 guiding the Eagles to an 8-1 record and undefeated in district play in the 2020 COVID shortened season. In the 2021 season, the Eagles finished with a 9-6 record and won the 2021 district title as the No. 2 seed. The Eagles were consistently ranked in the top 20 in the state during his tenure.
Before taking the helm at Stoneman, Nathan was the West Boca Raton High School Head coach from 2016-2018. Leading the Bulls to back-to-back winning seasons and was also named the Palm Beach County Coach of the Year in 2017.
Before his coaching career, Snitz played collegiately at Florida Atlantic University, Where he was a three-year starter and a two-year captain. He helped lead the team to a conference and league berth in the Southeastern Lacrosse Conference in the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association. He was named the men’s lacrosse program’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2015. Graduating from Florida Atlantic University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Minor in Anthropology.
