Hood College

2023 Hood College graduate Rachel Benden has transitioned from the Blazers lineup to the coaching staff after graduating in 2023 with a Degree in Secondary Education.  She is currently a Heath and Physical Fitness Teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools.  After graduating from Frederick Community College, she transferred to Hood finished her playing and academic career at Hood. 

She was a versatile player as she pitched, played 2^nd base, and the outfield.   She had two outstanding seasons culminating in being named 2^nd Team All MAC as a senior when she hit for an average of .357.  She is tied for 5^th in most hits in a season with 46.
