Molly Frazier (nee O'Brien), a former assistant coach at Division I Monmouth, is in her second year as the head coach at Hood College.
She also serves as the athletic department's Title IX coordinator.
The Blazers showed immediate improvement under their first-year head coach in 2016. Hood set a school record with 38 free position goals and the team's 147 goals were the second highest single season total in school history. The 37-goal improvement over the previous season was fueled by a school-record 45 goals by Jade Locklear. She also set school records for points (55) and draw controls (84). She was joined on the All-Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth team by Lauren Couch. Eight players were named to the MAC Academic Honor Roll for their performance in the classroom.
Frazier, a 2011 graduate of Monmouth, joined the Hawks coaching staff after finishing her playing career. She helped guide a 2013 team that produced both the Northeast Conference's Player and Rookie of the Year. Frazier worked primarily with the Hawks' attack, helping with scouting opponents and film breakdown.
Frazier has served as the program director for girl's lacrosse for Next Level Lacrosse in Bethesda, Md. since July 2014.
As a player, she was a two-year captain and participated on the 2010 USAC Stars U-19 team. Frazier's fifth-year season was cut short in 2012 after suffering a knee injury just four games into the year. Frazier was a prolific midfielder for the Hawks, starting in 58 career contests. The Kennett Square, Pa. native scored 75 goals and assisted on 32 others for 107 points, including a junior campaign in which she registered at least a point in every game.
Frazier received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Monmouth in 2011 in applied communication with a minor in sports communication. Upon graduation, she began working on her master's degree in corporate and public communication.
