Yonne Nasimiyu was named an assistant coach for the women’s volleyball team in summer of 2021. She was also named the SAAC co-advisor for the Athletics Department in October 2021.
Nasimiyu played four years of volleyball at Stephens College. She recorded her career-highs with 15 kills, 40 attempts and 16 digs.
After finishing her undergraduate studies, she joined the Norfolk Academy community. She served as a teaching associate, coached volleyball, indoor/outdoor track and assisted with the Global Health Fellows Program.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Stephens College. She is currently pursuing her master’s at Hood in biomedical science.
